CR: Tricked or Treat?

Brought an expensive Japanese lure on Halloween day.

Over the last few days, I was wondering if I had paid for a “tricked” or a “treat”.

The first thing it caught .... a walkover 70kg monster on the lips!!! Here is a picture of that monster!

OUCH!

As I was about to head back after a fish-less day out, I decided to continue casting my “hopes” while drifting back. I was totally careless as the lure got caught by my other rod sitting behind me to my right, an instinctive backflip of my wrist and the lure when flying straight into my face, guided by the strong wind! Smacked ... 2 hooks went straight into my lips! Ouch! Managed to pull one out but the other was totally impossible as my lips “flex” with the direction of each pull.

Shouted for assistance to my kayak buddy, who quickly paddled over and was “shocked” when he faced me! A big lure on my face!!! With a plier, he removed the 15cm lure from the hook and left me with a cool body ornament!

I paddled back to shore immediately where another buddy on land helped cut off the hook shank with a small cutter, much difficulties and commotions.

With the main body gone, I quickly drove to the doctor, who gently gave me 2 jabs before pushing the hook out of my lips.

Now, that’s the biggest monster I have ever caught in my life.

Tricked or Treat???????? Tricked by the lure and treated at the doctor!
