Catch Report: Hari Raya Special

I have been shooting blanks lately at sea .... maybe it was the 'month of the hungry ghost’.

This week marks the end of the hungry ghost festival and the beginning of the Hari Raya celebrations.

The fishes have broken ‘fast’ and came out to celebrate too.

We started the session late and ended early! A thunderstorm hit our area after being out at sea for less than 3 hours. We had to call it off due to the bad weather but not before both of us had a short ‘towing’ session by the fishes.

Total fishes caught today : 5

Grunter x 2 (The bigger one is about 3.5kg)
Barramundi x 1 (4kg)
Chermin x 1
Catfish x 1
